National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) Bronze Award
This 2-day NNAS Bronze Award is ideal for beginners and provides the key foundations and building blocks for you and your friends to be save whilst walking with mother nature! You will learn new outdoor skills, become more confident outdoors by knowing what essential kit you need and how to look after yourself and others by staying safe on the hills! Explore more and visit new areas, learning how to read a map and use a compass, plan a route and plan your own walks by learning navigation strategies & decision making techniques, push the boundaries by reading weather forecasts & current conditions, understand and visualise contours, accurately estimate distance and leave feeling inspired and ready to do more!
The National Navigation Award Scheme is a personal performance, non-competitive, incentive scheme for all ages, ranging from basic navigation skills at Bronze level through to more advanced skills at Silver and Gold levels, validated to a national standard.
